Following my previous post, I feel I might as well get it out. Starting with Drunk Tali’Zorah reference is always a good start. The broken, nihilistic and utterly fucked up ending needs to change for Mass Effect 3 and there’s no good reason it really shouldn’t in a day and age where I’m forced to download updates to include peripherals I don’t own. It’s a fucking videogame, first of all, but I can throw out at least six additional reasons why it isn’t a solution… Continue reading →

Mass Effect 3: Nerds celebrate surprise Victory over EA! Change in the wind for Game Production Philosophy?
I have to be honest, I never wanted to link back to 4chan for fear that it might put me on some kind of FBI list. Aside from being the Internet’s hate machine, it’s a terrifying place rife with perversions, smothered brilliance, darkest humor and memes galore. Currently, it’s one of the few places on the internet not pacing back and forth like a father expecting a child with three heads with regard to EA and Bioware getting a vicious backlash from Mass Effect fans… Continue reading →
Mass effect 3 ruins marriages?!
Be wary married readers! Mass Effect 3 will do things! BAD THINGS! Or something. Heh. Anyway, there’s this video. Enjoy it. Or don’t. JUST KNOW THAT YOU WERE WARNED!!!!!!!! Or something. Credit: Kotaku, Padinga
Mass Effect 3: From Ashes topic still pretty heated
The Day One Downloadable Content for Mass Effect 3 continues to stir furious anger in folks because it’s steadily making its way around the net that Javik was quite clearly on the disc already and that the only real content gained by spending $10 was an unlock code and the Eden Prime mission to retrieve Javik. I got Javik in the Collector’s Edition, but I had tried to plug my ears so everything would be a wondrous surprise until I opened the game to play.… Continue reading →
Mass Effect 3: Replay of first game reveals supposed Beings of Light? Catalyst is real?
Mass Effect 1 was big. Crazy big. Like so big you had to wait to be decontaminated before entering your massive space frigate because the world was too big to wait for loading screens. One planet you could visit was Klencory, but keep in mind that you could visit a shit-ton of planets in the first game. Even when you can’t land, you can get a peek at what the planet’s like and its history in the ME universe via the description that pops up… Continue reading →
Mass Effect 3: Checkpoint wades into the fray supporting Bioware against the Fans?
Anyone watch Penny-Arcade’s Checkpoint? Maybe THIS episode? Normally, I’m clapping like a barking seal as I enjoy episodes of Checkpoint. Their unique blend of gamer news and comedic wit has turned many of my frowns upside down. I say “normally” simply because I’m not as inclined to support them and their projects due to them coming out to step on toes. My toes. I get that they have to “report” it. I get that they are distinguished pseudo-journalists with genius levels of writing and humor… Continue reading →
VGCats on the ME3 Ending
While Bioware and EA haven’t quite expressed this vicious an opinion, this is pretty good summation of their healthy reaction to the ending. On a related note of getting their attention, the Retake Mass Effect donation drive has raised over 70k. Yikes!
Mass Effect 3 ending still awful, the Internet elaborates further
(SPOILER WARNING! This Jeremy fella has a bone to pick with Bioware about ME3′s ending and he picks it pretty well.) The above video takes a generous swipe at the terrible, terrible ending in Mass Effect 3. He makes some great points and then goes a little bonkers. Gamefront has a fantastic article where they break the awfulness of ME’s final moments down the five, distinct factors HERE. I’m still in shock and my personal reaction to the ending is that I want to walk… Continue reading →
Mass Effect 3: Fanfilm/Multiplayer Demo is online
Here’s a kickass little Mass Effect fan film with an amusing “interactive” twist. Low budget doesn’t do it justice, but it would still be a more welcome sight the behold on the Syfy channel than wrestling… Anyway, the film itself is rather brief, but it’s a lot of fun considering someone took the time to plot out a video that would proceed like the game. I strongly doubt that EA and Bioware considered this for the dubious sounding Mass Effect anime, but they should. Meanwhile…… Continue reading →
Mass Effect 3 (Demo): You should be fighting like a Krogan/running like a leopard NOW
The demo for Mass Effect 3 is online for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. Haven’t taken the PS3 version for a spin, but the Xbox version was pretty freakin’ slick. The Xbox demo had two key points surrounding the beginning of the Reaper attacks and the retrieval of a fertile female Krogan from Salarian hands Obviously, I was already sold on the game, but I played it with Kinect and the experience was similar to the recent Halo remake, but with one minor difference: It’s… Continue reading →
