Hasbro still doesn't care for your desire for things.

It’s a really fucking stupid name for the line because it seems to imply that we’ll see more when it’s hard enough to see the first line AT ALL. Also, why a retail toyline needed a preview, FOR A RETAIL TOYLINE, I still don’t understand. I’d expected Hasbro to phone the first wave in entirely with cheap plastic, lousy molds and then repackage them into something else. Sadly, Hasbro followed that dickhead logic to the letter… just in the opposite direction. In one of the… Continue reading →

Mass Effect 3: Gettin’ Trolled for Hatin’ the Ending

Look, I should level with you folks, this has been happening for awhile now and I should really address it before it becomes any more… exotic. Tekyu in a Jar gets trolled because I don’t care for the ending to Mass Effect 3 because it fucking ruins the following: the entire franchise, my former respect for Bioware and any shred of happiness in my soul making me want to dive under a bus because the ending was THAT bad. Be warned, Spoilers Ahead! I don’t… Continue reading →

Mass Effect 3: Tequila Se’Lai Sundays

Following my previous post, I feel I might as well get it out. Starting with Drunk Tali’Zorah reference is always a good start. The broken, nihilistic and utterly fucked up ending needs to change for Mass Effect 3 and there’s no good reason it really shouldn’t in a day and age where I’m forced to download updates to include peripherals I don’t own. It’s a fucking videogame, first of all, but I can throw out at least six additional reasons why it isn’t a solution… Continue reading →

Marvel dumping Avengers: EMH TV series?

Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man founded a team that rocked the comic world and continue to do so today with a highly acclaimed TV series on the air and their first motion picture about to smash the silver screen, the Avengers are truly some of earth’s mightiest heroes. The Avengers are in many ways Marvel’s best answer to DC’s Justice League and as good as the JLA’s magnificent tv series run was, Marvel’s Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes show is better by far and… Continue reading →

Mass Effect 3: Hitler explains the problems with ME3′s Ending

First of all, this is a clip from the genius German film, Downfall. They are not talking about Mass Effect 3. However, the subtitles speak from my damn soul and I found myself claps until my hands hurt at the end. This video sums up a lot of player rage in an eloquent fashion while managing to be remarkably entertaining at the same time! Freakin’ genius. The guy deeply resents the concept the Indoctrination Theory because he feels that Bioware shouldn’t have dropped the ball… Continue reading →

Bioware tells Mass Effect fans to “suck it” with ending extension!

So there you have it. Are we proud of the game we made and the team that made it? Hell yes. Are we going to change the ending of the game? No. Do we appreciate the passion and listen to the feedback delivered to us by our fans? Very much so and we are responding. Before registering a complaint on their blog, note that they expected it and closed it off from comments. Probably one of the few intelligent things Bioware did since they fucked… Continue reading →

EA Responds to being labeled MOST EVIL COMPANY IN AMERICA

A shocking truth rattles the world’s consciousness with the announcement that Electronic Arts is now the Most Evil Company in America. In their modesty EA has only this to say: “We’re sure that British Petroleum, AIG, Philip Morris, and Halliburton are all relieved they weren’t nominated this year. We’re going to continue making award-winning games and services played by more than 300 million people worldwide.” Narrowly beating out Bank of America, EA’s victory in the recent poll by Consumerist. Don’t feel bad if you weren’t… Continue reading →

Transformers: Botcon Artists are on Hasbro’s S@%t-list too!

Hasbro has been on a roll with the Botcon sadness. After the Collector’s Club hack, the generally bad press that followed the announcement to ban 3rd party items at Botcon; there’s been an uncomfortable tension concerning Botcon this year. It just got worse. In order to keep things consistently shitty, Hasbro has announced that they are going to be banning the sale of ANY artwork from anyone who isn’t an artist that collected a paycheck at some point from them or a licensee at some… Continue reading →

Transformers: Target Masters “Primed”… for the Asian market only

Target Masters! An awesome aspect of old school transformers where Autobot and Decepticon pistols were also transformers themselves! The squat little robots would bend over as far as they could, pointing their barrel(s) at the enemy while their larger Transformer partner would grip some dubious peg upon the gunbot tightly and spray hot, uh, DEATH all over their foes! Well, okay to be honest it’s less creepy than I make it sound and technically the guns were alien cyborgs (like Headmasters and Powermasters), but in… Continue reading →

Capcom spits against the wind with Disc-locked DLC

So uh, Capcom has become the Bond villain of DLC. Their evil is so potent now that they don’t even require the possession of a monocle or a cat to make the most of the role. All nostalgic ribbing of copy-pasting cash grab accusations back in the Street Fighter 2 days pales in comparison to Capcom’s current and wholly intentional image of eager hands tightly clutching wads of tear-stained, ill-gotten DLC cash. Capcom admitted to already including the “upcoming” DLC on the retail discs of… Continue reading →
