Portal: The ONLY Replica meant to replicate Portal Gameplay

Need more Portal in your life? Got $208? There’s a Japanese preorder you should be aware of at Hobby Search for NECA’s niftiest little replica to date! It’s not real, changes colors and comes with a prohibitive price. Personally, I’d love a Portal Gun lying around the house, but until my spatula patents cash in I can’t really afford high priced hijinks of this nature. I’d almost rather have a crate FULL of Combustible Lemons. For the price, you’d think it came with a dozen… Continue reading →

Playfire: A virtual dickwaving competition for the digital age!

Xbox Gamercards PSN Gamercards Playfire is a swanky social medium for gamers that doubles as a means of cross platform competition that allows you to post all of your various achievements from your Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Steam accounts. Naturally, you may also track friends who do the same. I like it a lot. It’s fun and it allows more friends to come to the table to brag about totally intangible rewards on different platforms. It also encourages commentary and updates as kind of… Continue reading →

Internet Avenges itself against a Controller and sleazy PR reps

Hey everyone! I hope yours was a safe and Merry weekend. For me it was a Holiday of “firsts”; The first Christmas without my father and the first Christmas with myself as a married man. But as mixed as my weekend was, it looks like someone got something worse than coal. Oh Internet Drama… Oh wild internet mill of information… Oh brutally awful customer service… It all has a name: Paul Christoforo Ever have a customer service person tell you to “suck it” or “go… Continue reading →

iOS: Out of this World/Another World hits iPad/iPhone Today

Today an old, totally awesome, game from about twenty years ago comes back to dazzle old audiences who remember it and frustrate the living shit out of younger audiences encouraged to buy it. That game is Another World/Out of this World , a game so ahead of its time it needed two names just so we could isolate its existence on this plane. Well, that and some corporate jackasses thought “Another World” was too simple, so they made it “Out of this World” in the… Continue reading →

That’s silly, you’re silly. That’s silly. Oh shit. You mean you really DID it? You created a Skynet Network? What kind of asshole names something after Skynet?!? Well, these assholes apparently. I tried reading the article, but all I got was “Blah, blah, blah WEATHER. Blah, blah, blah, Skynet. Blah, blah, prepare for termination, Fleshling.” Thanks Topless Robot! Thanks for making all that coffee I drank a REALLY great idea so now I’m running wild with ideas of how skeletal Terminator robots are coming to… Continue reading →

Netflix: Whips out its “Qwikster” to wow the crowd… WTF?!

Netflix has been executing dick move after dick move lately and recently they threw out crazy price hikes, a loss of 600k customers and followed that up with brazen arrogance that caused their stock to drop like a rock. In a moment of desperation, they’ve peeled back a curtain to show what they’ve been hiding and… what the fuck? (Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, Andy something-or-another-who-isn’t-the-fucking-CEO try to talk customers off the ledge about how they plan to split their services so they can charge more,… Continue reading →

Gamers win at Science or something; AIDS proteins folded

I wasn’t aware that folding protein was a thing. Apparently, Gamers have spatial reasoning that computer do not and by putting gamers to work doing… that thing, they have apparently cracked a protein in the AIDS (Auto-Immune Deficiency Syndrome) virus. What does this mean? I’m… not really at all sure. But I’m told secondhand that this is apparently a pretty big deal. So groovy, right? Right. Apparently, this “fold” has potentially phenomenal effects for both Cancer and AIDS treatment, thought I wouldn’t know how to… Continue reading →

Gamestop wants your Apple iOS Devices, making their own gaming tablet

Gamestop announced that its’ US stores will now accept iPods, iPads and iPhones toward trade-in credit for games and stuff. They also spilled that part of their OnLive-esque assault on the market and possible use of SpawnLabs, Inc. is the creation and distribution of their own brand of gaming-based touchscreen tablets. This is a weird ass mix of news coming out of Gamestop. By entering into another market on two fronts, they’re attacking a new angle that most nationwide chains haven’t approached treating these devices… Continue reading →

Sony: Rebranding to evade Predators and Tablets to bleed a dry market

Long Live Play isn’t the only strange change to come about for Sony. Sony is looking to change their image and stuff. They’re trying to throw certain parties, elements and methods under the bus in light of an additional lawsuit and the oft-referenced bad press from having one of the most horrific breaches of consumer information ever recorded. It is as though it finally dawned upon them to try and shake this shit, but in the typically ineffective Sony fashion. You’ve seen the “return” of… Continue reading →
